What is the supervision level of The Family Room’s Expanded Group Family Time Program?
-Semi-Supervised Therapeutic Family Time
-TFR does not provide 1-on-1 sight/sound supervision for all families
-A parent must be able to take their child to the restroom or have brief periods of time without sight/sound monitoring by Staff.
Does TFR provide transportation?
-No.
If the child is in the physical custody of one parent, can TFR serve the non-custodial parent?
-No.
If an ODHS case closes, can TFR continue serving the family?
-No.
Can a parent with an active warrant participate in family time sessions?
-No.
Can TFR adequately serve children who have been diagnosed or suspected to have ASD or sensory processing disorders within a group setting which is a highly stimulating environment?
-This is determined on a case-by-case basis. Please consult with TFR Staff prior to making a referral by emailing referrals@
How do I know a parent is ready for services at The Family Room?
-They are attending at least 90% of their scheduled family time sessions or are waiting for family time sessions to be set up and ODHS worker feels confident the parent(s) can consistently attend.
-They express interest in more/expanded time with their child(ren)
Can TFR serve both parents simultaneously if there is concern for historical or current domestic violence?
-No. Only one parent can be served at a time.TFR is able to accommodate families with one or more parents who can visit together. If parents must visit separately, TFR can serve one parent at a time.
